With the company founder himself originally being from Scotland, and with the upcoming Commonwealth Games being held in Glasgow in 2026, why not continue the brand’s sporting connection with a new protein partnership founded in its Scottish roots. Think physical advertising boardings, sponsored post-competition interviews with athletes and sponsored competition data statistics all to gain media presence and traction for the brand.

Everyone has their niche. Surprisingly, one of Tiktok’s favourites is tinned fish, in particular the Tinned Fish Reviewer’s videos. Bumbling English demise with a penchant for the world’s variety of sea food in a can. Can’t go wrong. A match made in heaven for John West to influencer-advertise with a man (and sidekick dog) who genuinely adores 99% oof tinned fish products.
Social MEdia
Combining the campaign with the Commonwealth Games partnership, let’s create Lad Bible-esque food eating videos with competing athletes from various nations, in which they compare John West’s products to strong smelling fish products from their own countries. We’ll get longer 10 minute videos for Youtube (clippable for short form ads), 3 minute videos for Instagram Reels, and short form videos for Tiktok with athletes reacting to tastes and smells. There’s fun and comedy in there, but with the John West product at the heart of it.
